Joey Feek is Down to Her Last Few Days
JOEY FEEK’s battle with terminal cancer is down to its final days. Her husband RORY wrote about it in his This Life I Live blog, saying she told him she’s “ready to stop fighting.”
He gathered the family together to say their goodbyes, and then she asked to see their daughter, Indiana. He writes, quote, “I set Indy on her lap and we all cried as she told her how much she loved her and then she pulled her up and kissed her.”
Joey’s body is shutting down quickly and the hospice nurse is only giving her “a few more days . . . at the most.”
Rory put together a slideshow video of pictures from their moments together. It features a song they recorded a while back. It’s a cover of Shawn Camp’s “In The Time That You Gave Me”. (Here’s the video.)

Here’s his pitch, quote, “As part of the Smithworks family, I’ve been involved in the development of the brand, and I’m excited for everyone to finally taste what we’ve been crafting.” It’s only available in limited markets for now. (Find out more, here.)

It looks like DIERKS BENTLEY’s going to try to be funny when he co-hosts the ACMs with LUKE BRYAN next month. He posted a video where he’s rehearsing in the shower, and then in a bathrobe. He tries out jokes and bits and, even though I like the guy, I didn’t laugh.
BILLY CURRINGTON performed the Ray Charles classic “Georgia On My Mind”, at his tour stop in Macon, Georgia. He told the crowd, quote, “If there was ever a place to play this song, it’d be here.” Billy’s from Savannah, Georgia.
