Blake Shelton Couldn’t Be Happier About His Duet With Gwen Stefani
BLAKE SHELTON and GWEN STEFANI released the duet they wrote and recorded together. It’s called “Go Ahead and Break My Heart”, and they performed it on “The Voice” last night.
Blake told “People” magazine that it’s about the “serious insecurities” they had when they first started dating. They also had “trust issues” they needed to work through, so they wrote the song about all that. But what he’s really proud of is that they came up with it alone. Quote, “There’s not a third ghost writer, there’s not five writers on it. It’s just she and I sat down and wrote this song . . . and I couldn’t be happier about it.”
JENNIFER NETTLES’ new album “Playing With Fire” is out Friday . . . and she got a lot of help from BRANDY CLARK. Quote, “She and I collaborated on much of this album and I’m such a fan of hers as a songwriter . . . and I became a big fan girl love of her when she went on the road with me for the ‘That Girl’ tour.”
JASON ALDEAN recalls how the guys in FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE co-wrote “Lights Come On”, and then pitched it to him to record. Quote, “I listened to it and immediately went in to my producer and said, ‘Hey, see if we can get everybody to stick around for another hour so we can cut this.'”
