DUSTIN LYNCH dropped a brand new video to his song “Small Town Boy“. It’s just him and a very lovely lady hanging out at the beach from morning till night. Poor guy.
“Live at the Grand Ole Opry” released video of BLAKE SHELTON performing with THE OAK RIDGE BOYS. They start with “Doin’ It To Country Songs” and then switch over to “Elvira”. It’s from Blake’s show there on April 11th. (Video)
MIRANDA LAMBERT doesn’t believe in playing pranks on her opening acts. One reason is because she thinks it’ll interfere with the show. The artists need to focus and perform. She’s also afraid the crowd may not know it’s an inside joke and the whole thing wouldn’t make sense to them. (Full Story)
JOHNNY GALECKI, who you know as Leonard on “The Big Bang Theory”, was spotted playing percussion at a couple of RANDY HOUSER concerts over the weekend. He sat in on Friday in Lansing, Michigan . . . and on Saturday in Buffalo, New York. (Here’s a clip of him “banging” the skins on Friday.)
Guess who’s hosting this year’s CMAs? I know, you already got it. It’s BRAD PAISLEY and CARRIE UNDERWOOD and it’ll be their 10th straight year. That’s the second longest run next to VINCE GILL who did it for 12 years, from 1992 to 2003. “The 51st Annual CMAs” will air November 8th on ABC. (Billboard)
Sam Hunt Had to Cancel a Show Because of Vocal Issues . . . He Did Not Die
SAM HUNT had to cancel last night’s show at the Taste of Country Music Festival in Hunter, New York. According to a post on Facebook, he got sick last week and then tried to power through it by performing, but that only made it worse.
Here’s what he wrote: “I’ve never had to cancel a show before but I flat out can’t sing. I got sick and had some issues with my voice. I tried pushing through [it] a couple nights ago and zapped everything I had left. I’ll do what I need to do to make it up to all the folks who came out to see us.”
In other Sam Hunt news: He was telling “Billboard” that he still gets just as star struck as anyone else . . . so he uses simple logic to help him overcome the fear. Quote, “The stars are just people.
“We put on fancy clothes and try to look cool as often as we can but at the end of the day we’re just fans and we’re trying to give back what music has given to us. I love that country music captures that element of commonality best of all.”
Trace Adkins Had a Naked Hunting Experience
It’s been several years since TRACE ADKINS bragged about being naked in the studio before his surgery. So I’d say we’re long overdue for a new story. Trace was talking to the press before his CMA Fest show on Friday when he mentioned a very recent, very unique nude experience.
Quote, “I walked outside this morning in my boots, naked, and shot a woodpecker who was beating on the end of my house and woke me up. I just ratted myself out, because that’s actually against the law to kill a woodpecker. But, he woke me up.”
Trace killed it using a double barrel shotgun that he keeps next to his bed. He said he walked outside, saw the bird . . . and then beat on the hood of his truck so it would fly away. It did and that’s when he shot it.
