Carrie Underwood Criticized for Performing Passion 2017

A Christian Leader is Frustrated That Carrie Underwood Performed at Last Week’s Passion 2017 Gathering

You may remember that CARRIE UNDERWOOD made a surprise appearance at last week’s Passion 2017 gathering in Atlanta.  Somebody posted a video of her singing “Something In The Water” . . . and the crowd is into it.

Well, forget what the crowd thinks, because there’s one man who says she shouldn’t have been there in the first place.  His name is Wesley Wildmon, he’s with the American Family Association, and he disagrees with her opinion about gay marriage.

He made his feelings known in an open letter to the conference’s director.  Here’s some of it.  Quote, “I was frustrated that you allowed her to help lead thousands of people in worship.  Carrie supports homosexual marriage which the Word of God doesn’t.”

Wildmon is probably basing this on an interview Carrie did in 2012 when she said that the church she and her husband MIKE FISHER attend is “gay-friendly.”  She also said she can’t imagine being told she couldn’t marry someone she loves.

“Rolling Stone” reached out to Carrie’s people for a comment but as of last night there was no a response.
