Tim McGraw Has Deep Appreciation for Those Who’ve Served
TIM MCGRAW has been working with Operation Homefront for several years now. They’re the ones who give mortgage free homes to members of the military. It’s very personal for him because he’s had family members who’ve served.
He says, quote, “My sister is a veteran of the first Gulf War and my uncle is a Vietnam veteran. You know, they sit on the fence and protect us and allow us to live the life that we have. There’s nobody better, in my mind, than those guys and gals.”
KIP MOORE stopped in the middle of a show and asked a fan to put her camera away . . . and he had a pretty good reason. She’s one of those super fans who’ve been going to his shows for almost five years, and he recognized her.
He told her, quote, “I’m going to make you watch this one without that thing. I want you to be in the moment for a little bit.” He made her hand it over to the person next to her.
She posted a video of it on Facebook, and it sounds like she loved the attention. She wrote, “I knew it was just a matter of time before he called me out.” (Careful: There’s crowd noise that could be hiding profanities.)
ERIC CHURCH posted a video where he’s drawing x’s and o’s on a chalkboard, like a coach in a locker room. Then he draws an arrow down to reveal the reason. He’ll be kicking off the Salvation Army’s annual Red Kettle Campaign by performing at halftime of the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins Thanksgiving Day game.
GEORGE STRAIT will be going back to Vegas in 2017. He’s doing four sets of weekend shows at T-Mobile Arena. The dates are April 7th and 8th . . . July 28th and 29th . . . September 1st and 2nd . . . December 8th and 9th. (Billboard)
