Miranda Lambert Had to Stop Singing Because of a Soldier’s Sign

MIRANDA LAMBERT was singing “The House That Built Me” at a show in Connecticut last Friday, and stopped to check out a sign that a fan in the front was holding.  Then she brought it up on stage so the audience could read it too.

Listen to what it said:  “Three combat tours.  Your voice is the last thing I listened to EVERY NIGHT.  THANK YOU!!!”  She got so emotional she started crying, and the AUDIENCE had to finish the song.

You can check it out on YouTube, just search for “Miranda Lambert brought to tears by soldier’s sign.”

Glen Campbell is Getting the All-Star Treatment at the ACM Honors

Toby Keith, Blake Shelton, Dierks Bentley, and Keith Urban are joining up to honor Glen Campbell at the 10th annual ACM Honors.  That’s the show where they recognize honorees and off-camera winners from the ACMs back in April.

Glen’s getting the Career Achievement Award . . . and his wife Kim will accept it on his behalf.  Obviously Glen’s completely incapacitated by Alzheimer’s at this point . . . he’s battled it since 2011.

The guys are doing a medley of his greatest hits, finishing up with “Rhinestone Cowboy”.

It tapes this Tuesday, then airs on CBS on Friday, September 9th.

Jennifer Nettles is also releasing a Christmas album this year.  It was actually Dolly Parton who accidentally broke the news, but Jennifer Tweeted that it’s all good . . . she loves that Dolly is sharing the love.  (Full Story)

Meanwhile, Dolly told “Fox & Friends” yesterday that her new holiday movie will premiere on NBC on November 30th.  It’s called “Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love”.

Tim McGraw’s from Louisiana too, and he’s just the latest artist urging people to donate to help the victims of flooding there.  Taylor Swift donated a million, Meghan Linsey raised $100,000 on GoFundMe, and Garth Brooks wants people to donate to the Red Cross.  Just Google “Red Cross Sounds Alarm: Financial Donations Urgently Needed to Aid Louisiana.”  (Full Story)

Alan Jackson’s opening a honky tonk in Nashville later this year called ‘AJ’s Good Time Bar.’  It’ll be three stories and have a rooftop patio.  (Full Story)

Dan + Shay announced a tour this fall.  It starts November 10th in Denver . . . hits 13 more cities before wrapping up in Boston on December 17th . . . and Walker Hayes will open.  (Full Story)
