Hayley Orrantia from “The Goldbergs” Is Coming to Country Music
Yet another actor wants to cross over to country music. Try not to roll your eyes like KIEFER SUTHERLAND.
HAYLEY ORRANTIA plays Erica on the ABC sitcom “The Goldbergs”. And, yep . . . she’s pursuing a career in music. But actually, that was her FIRST ambition.
She says she never even wanted to be an actress. She only started taking acting classes because record labels told her landing a TV show would help her build a following. Quote, “Acting was never part of the plan.”
Hayley was also on the first season of “The X Factor”. She was a member of ‘Lakoda Rayne,’ the country-pop girl group that Simon Cowell assembled. Which you probably don’t remember, because they finished in ninth place.
Now she’s working on material for an EP called “Strong, Sweet, and Southern”. Quote, “Everything that’s in the EP is a real story . . . so I guess more than anything, I’m excited for people to hear those stories.”
There’s no release date yet, but Season Four of “The Goldbergs” premieres on September 21st.
Jason Aldean Wants His Kids to Pick the Outdoors Over Technology
JASON ALDEAN’s daughters are 13 and eight now, and he admits that it’s a struggle keeping them interested in the outdoors . . . and away from technology. Which is why he’s the new ambassador for “Field & Stream”.
Quote, “There are so many other things that can keep kids distracted and keep them from wanting to go outside and do things in the outdoors . . . no matter how bad you want them to not sit there with an iPad, sometimes it’s inevitable.
“You can keep it to a minimum by getting them out and taking them fishing or even just walking around. Get them off the couch . . . it makes them realize there’s some pretty cool things out there if you open your eyes up and look around a little bit.”
Ronnie Dunn is covering Ariana Grande on his upcoming album, which is an interesting choice . . . since she’s an America-hating donut-licker! Just kidding, she’s a national treasure. (???) Ronnie’s daughter is a big Ariana fan, so he’s covering “Tattooed Heart”, AND it’s also the title track. (Full Story)
