Kelsea Ballerini Is Comfortable Being a Role Model for Young Girls
KELSEA BALLERINI knows she’s a role model for impressionable young girls. And one of the things she’d like her fans to know is that nobody’s perfect. Not even her. In fact, if she tried to be perfect, she’d fail . . . and lose herself along the way.
She tells the “Chicago Tribune”, quote, “I just want to be real and who I am. That’s something I’d feel comfortable with any little girl looking up to, so that’s who I try to be.”
Injuries Forced Chris Lane to Quit Baseball and Turn to Music
Country music wasn’t CHRIS LANE’s first career choice. His dream was to play professional baseball, and he was good enough to play college ball. Unfortunately, he kept getting injured and after too many surgeries he knew it wasn’t going to happen.
And then he went to a KEITH URBAN concert. Quote, “I was inspired by him to learn how to play the guitar, and I was decent enough that I could start a cover band, so I did that [and] here I am today.”
Chris’s debut album, “Girl Problems”, is out tomorrow.
MAREN MORRIS posted a clip of herself performing KEITH URBAN’s song “Blue Ain’t Your Color”. And we know Keith saw it, because he hit up social media with a clip where he’s doing Maren’s “’80s Mercedes”.
JACK INGRAM turns to the bottle to deal with his problems in the video to his song “I’m Drinking Through It“. It’s one of the tracks on his album “Midnight Motel”, which is due out August 26th.
It looks like BRAD PAISLEY will be shilling for Nationwide Insurance. He posted a clip yesterday onInstagram where he’s free-styling their jingle on the guitar. He captioned it, “There’s more to [that] jingle than just those seven notes. Enjoy.” The video also features a blurb that reads, “Nationwide has a new sound August 5th.”
CODY JOHNSON’s new album “Gotta Be Me” is out tomorrow, but you can listen to the “twangy” title track right now. It’s streaming at NashCountryDaily.com. And as of last night the whole thing was available on SoundCloud.
Billboard.com has a story about country stars’ Luxury Party Barns. They tend to be a combination of nightclub, museum, recording studio, and living space. But mostly, it’s somewhere they can throw a party without people trampling through their home. Pics include the barns of JASON ALDEAN and RONNIE DUNN.
SHANIA TWAIN posted a photo yesterday of herself in the studio working on new music. She wrote, “On a roll.”
JOHN RICH is in the nightclub business. He’s opening two Redneck Riviera Bars later this year. One will be in Las Vegas, the other in Nashville. (Full Story)
