Brett Eldredge Owns a “Crap-Ton” of Socks . . . And He Was a Teenage Wedding Singer
I love hearing celebrities talk about their quirks, and this one’s pretty good. “Entertainment Weekly” asked BRETT ELDREDGE what his teenage self would be SHOCKED to hear is happening in his current life.
His answer is that he would’ve been blown away to know how many pairs of socks he owns. Brett hates mismatched socks so that’s what he splurges on, and when he does, he buys a “crap-ton” of them.
And then he gave his teenage self a pep talk, saying, quote, “‘So, 18-year-old Brett, when you’re in college and you’re walking to class in the snow in your sandals ’cause you couldn’t find socks . . . you made it, brother. You made it.'”
He also revealed that he used to be a DJ and wedding singer when he was 16 years old. (You can watch the interview, here. The “wedding singer” stuff starts at 1:32 . . . and the “crap-ton” of socks begins at 3:07.)
Keith Urban Hurt His Back and Had To Cancel His Indy 500 Appearance
KEITH URBAN hurt his back and canceled his appearance at the Indy 500. He wasn’t going to perform, just ride in the pace car with MARIO ANDRETTI. He hit up social media to say, “Hugely disappointed I can’t be in the car to celebrate Indy’s 100th.”
His rep wouldn’t go into details about the injury but did say Keith WILL be ready for his Ripcord World Tour, which kicks off Thursday in Kansas City, Missouri. By the way, LADY GAGA ended up taking Keith’s place in the pace car.
Maren Morris Thought She Was Being Pranked When Dierks Bentley Texted Her About Doing a Duet
MAREN MORRIS thought someone was pretending to be DIERKS BENTLEY when she got the text asking her to join him on an “amazing” duet. She didn’t recognize the number and was suspicious about the whole thing.
She said, quote, “There’s always a part of me that thinks someone is pranking me. I’ve had a lot of those moments in the last few months because so many incredible things have happened.” She eventually figured out it really was Dierks.
The song is “I’ll Be The Moon”, and it’s on his album “Black”, which came out Friday.
BLAKE SHELTON is an underwear model. Sorta. He’s doing TV commercials for a company named Gildan, but he keeps his clothes on. That’s actually the theme of the ad. He says, “Underwear isn’t really underwear unless it’s worn under something.” (Here’s one of the spots.)
I couldn’t find SAM HUNT in his “Single For The Summer“ video. But I did see bikinis, Hula-Hoops, and plenty of ocean.
ALAN JACKSON was a surprise guest at JIMMY BUFFETT’s recent show in Nashville . . . and they performed their hit “It’s Five O’ Clock Somewhere”.
