Brett Eldredge Refuses to Admit He’s Dating That Victoria’s Secret Model
Somebody asked BRETT ELDREDGE to admit he’s dating Rachel Hilbert, the girl in his “Lose My Mind” video, who also happens to be a Victoria’s Secret model. He wouldn’t admit to anything, but he squirmed so much he left no doubt in my mind that he absolutely is.
He said, quote, “I heard the rumor. It’s hard to know what you hear out there is true and not true. Rachel was in my video and she’s an amazing girl and I get along great with her.”
Notice the “get along great?” That’s present tense. That means he’s getting along with her . . . now. Here’s more shuffling: Quote, “I put people that I really like in my videos. Shoot, my brother’s in my video. I put all my friends in, and yes, she was awesome.”
He finally gets back to the original question and once again sounds guilty as charged: Quote, “I’m really shy about all that kind of stuff, but I, uh, yeah, she’s great.”
Merle Haggard Wishes Today’s Country Had More Whistling
MERLE HAGGARD doesn’t hate all of today’s country music, just most of it. Asked for his take on who he’s liking these days, he name checked STURGILL SIMPSON . . . and that was it.
Quote, “As far as I’m concerned, he’s the only one out there. The rest of them sound like a bunch of [crap] to me. I can’t tell what they’re doing. They’re talking about screwing on a pickup tailgate and things of that nature.
“I don’t find any substance. I don’t find anything you can whistle, and nobody even attempts to write a melody. It’s more of that kids stuff. It’s hot right now, but I’ll tell you what, it’s cooling off.”
