Miranda Lambert Sang Loretta Lynn’s Divorce Song “Rated X” at the ACM Honors
MIRANDA LAMBERT hasn’t said much in public about splitting up with BLAKE SHELTON, but she did make a not-so subtle statement by singing a song about divorce at Tuesday’s ACM Honors in Nashville.
She did LORETTA LYNN’s 1973 hit “Rated X“ before presenting her with the Crystal Milestone Award. The song is about a woman finding freedom in divorce . . . and Miranda looked pretty free and way sexy wearing a pink backless dress.
(Here’s video. The song kicks in at 3:14. Loretta enters to accept the award at 6:59. Jake Owen hosted the event, and that’s him on stage doing the introduction.)
The night also featured Luke Bryan being given the Gene Weed Special Achievement Award . . . Eric Churchbeing presented with the Jim Reeves International Award . . . and Alabama getting the Career Achievement Award.
Chase Rice Quit His NASCAR Job to Pursue His Nashville Dream
CHASE RICE has had two dream jobs in his life. We all know what his current one is, but did you know he was once a NASCAR pit crew member? He loved it, but he also knew it wasn’t his destiny.
He says, quote, “Music was definitely the reason I quit NASCAR. The whole time I was [doing it] there was something else on my mind . . . and I always wanted to come to Nashville and [it] never got off my mind.
“So, if something stays with you that long you might as well give it a shot. It was an impossible job to give up because it was so much fun but I realized as soon as I moved to [Nashville] that this is where I needed to be to be happy.”
DUSTIN LYNCH demonstrated his famous “biceps chug” on yesterday’s “Today Show”.
CHRIS YOUNG told “Sports Illustrated“ that he’s a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan . . . because there was no NFL team in Nashville while he was growing up there.
