Kip Moore Is Two Albums In, But He’s Already Written a Thousand Songs
There’s a saying in music that you have your entire life to write your first album, but only a year to write your second. Because if the debut is successful, then the record company is breathing down your neck for another.
It’s one of the reasons the follow-up often sucks. Well, KIP MOORE wasn’t the least bit worried when he recorded his second album, “Wild Ones”, which came out Friday.
He says, quote, “I wasn’t scared of that, because I never stopped writing. I’ve got a thousand songs. I’ve already written four more bodies of work that are ready to go now.”
Kip isn’t just prolific, he’s also confident, and believes that’s the only way to get ahead. Quote, “If you don’t feel that way, what’s the point? I’ve had to fight like a wild animal to get to where I’m at.
“I’ve had to scrape and claw and it damn sure hasn’t been easy. But, that doesn’t take away from me being grateful about it.”
Tyler Farr Bruised His Rib and Leg on That Stage Fall
TYLER FARR opened up a little more about his recent stage fall. Even though he kept performing, he was hurting way more than he was letting on. He said, quote, “I didn’t miss a note or a word but you can see the pain and anguish in my face.
“It looks like I almost hit my face . . . but I bruised a rib and got a 12 by 12-inch bruise on my thigh.”
Carrie Underwood Listens to Hair Bands When She’s Traveling, and She Loves Mango Sorbet Ice Cream
CARRIE UNDERWOOD’s big announcement on Facebook last week was that she’s releasing new music. That was followed by a Q&A with fans, and CMT.com decided to feature a few of her answers.
Asked about her go-to music when traveling she said, quote, “Anything hair-bandish.” She also admitted that her favorite ice cream is mango sorbet, her idol is her mom, and her favorite pastimes are cooking and working out.
BRETT ELDREDGE came up with an interesting way to preview his album “Illinois”, which is out September 11th. He released a video of him giving a silly interpretation of each song. He acts them out, sometimes uses props like a football helmet, and even sings into the mic on a FRANK SINATRA poster.
ASHLEY MONROE appreciates a quiet audience, because that means they’re paying attention. She says, quote, “When it’s quiet I know everyone’s listening, and it makes me so happy.” (Full Story)

Shania Twain Improvises Like a Pro When Power Glitch Delays Los Angeles Show
When a power glitch abruptly halted Shania Twain‘s Thursday night (Aug. 20) show in Los Angeles, she didn’t let the problems faze her. Instead, she kept her cool, joked around with her audience for a bit, and then resumed the concert.
Twain was near the end of her set, singing “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” when the power at the Staples Center went haywire; according to Mashable, the animations on the big screen behind Twain disappeared, and the arena’s lights turned on. The singer left the stage, then returned after a few minutes and restarted the tune — but her microphone malfunctioned, stopping her once again.
So, the country star improvised: She addressed two sets of fans near the front of the stage, one of whom was a rocket scientist and the other of whom had just gotten engaged.
“We have a real rocket scientist in the audience tonight … which I think is so cool! I mean, we probably have more than one, but …,” Twain told the crowd. “… Since this is the song we had this power outage on, I thought we might as well just point you out.”

Jake Owen Says New Feather Tattoo Honors His Individualism, Native American Heritage
Jake Owen says he didn’t spend much time thinking about the design for his new feather tattoo, but it carries some personal meaning for him. Owen is of Native American ancestry, and recognizes the importance of the feather. But more than anything the feather is a symbol for who he is today.
“I’ve floated to my own tempo and wherever it takes me,” the “Real Life” singer tells Taste of Country. “It’s a symbol of peace and individuality and spirituality, and in my whole life in general I’ve always floated around in a way.”
The black feather also includes turquoise accents; turquoise being one of his favorite colors. He first revealed the new tattoo last weekend during shows in Kentucky and Indianapolis. The feather covers up a previous tattoo of wife Lacey’s lips.
