Brad Paisley Has Mixed Emotions About Rock Stars Going Country
BRAD PAISLEY addressed the issue of rock stars like STEVEN TYLER and BRET MICHAELS going country…by mocking himself for crossing over to open for the ROLLING STONES this summer in Nashville.
He said, quote, “I think you have no business being on a show with an act that’s not your format. Just who do they think they are, that they can just walk on our stage and do what they do. It’s unfair.”
He eventually admitted he’s fine with it, as long as the artist is sincere and not trying to make a quick buck. Quote, “If anybody wants to be in country, we’ll welcome them, with open arms and a fair amount of skepticism.
“But then you got guys like DARIUS [RUCKER] who just blow the doors off, so we’re certainly wide open to it.”
He adds, quote, “It’d be fun to see Steven Tyler have success in this town. How much fun would that be to hand him a CMA award for something?”
Miranda Lambert Is Afraid of Snakes
We know MIRANDA LAMBERT is a badass hunter who can bag a wild hog and carve it up for dinner. But she does have limitations. NOLA.com asked what she’s afraid of and she said, quote, “A physical thing is snakes. I don’t like snakes at all.”
She’s also afraid of losing the people she loves but I’m pretty sure everyone on the planet has the same fear.
Asked if there are misconceptions her fans may have about her, she said, quote, “Early on, everybody thought I was a wild child, gun toting crazy person. But I feel like over the years they’ve seen my softer side.”
