Brantley Gilbert Has The Second Amendment Tattooed on His Back
A couple of months ago BRANTLEY GILBERT posted a photo of his double-pistol back tattoo. Turns out that was phase one. Yesterday he hit up social media with a pic of the finished product.
The pistols are still there, but above them in huge letters is the word “amendment”. And then, written below the guns is the famous phrase people often quote from the second amendment:
“A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”
He explained it all in the caption, “So, BG nation. I wanted to take my support of the second amendment to another level, so my boy Carl Grace came by the house and hooked me up yesterday.”
Frankie Ballard’s Next Album is “More Blood and Guts” Than His Last One
FRANKIE BALLARD wanted an old school feel for his next album, so he and the musicians played like they were doing a live show. He also kept it real by not adding synthesizers and other programming nonsense.
He tells “Rolling Stone“, quote, “I wanted to create an album where you heard five guys playing music, because I still believe in that. I believe it’s possible to have hit songs and popular music that’s recorded by human beings.
“Nothing against what’s going on right now, but I’m just not good at that. I’m not good at synthetic drum sounds and programming things.” What he ended up with was a much rougher sound than his last album, “Sunshine & Whiskey”.
He says, quote, “The music is a little tougher. More blood and guts. No matter what it does when it gets out to the world, I can rest easy knowing I made music exactly the way I wanted to. It’s so intrinsically me. I’m proud of that. That was the goal.”
There’s no release date yet on the album.
CHASE RICE posted a photo on his Facebook page yesterday of him and MINKA KELLY. He captioned it, “Texas forever.” What does that mean? Well, Minka was in “Friday Night Lights”, which was set in Texas . . . and Chase needed an excuse to put his arm around her.
ASHLEY MONROE released the video to her song “On To Something Good“. It’s the first single from her next album, which will be out July 24th. No word yet on the title.
