Eric Church Hopes His Wife Doesn’t Go Into Labor at the Grammys
Next month’s Grammys are going to be a big deal for ERIC CHURCH. He’s up for FOUR awards, he’s one of the performers at the show, and it’s a real possibility that his wife could go into labor that night.
She’s due to give birth to the couple’s second child the week after the show, and you never know with things like that. Still, she has every intention of being with him.
He tells the “Tennessean”, quote, “This gets tricky. We’re trying to see if she can fly out for just the day. We’re working on it. She wants to [be there]. If she goes into labor at the Grammys, that will be an interesting night for all of us.”
All he can really do at this point is keep his fingers crossed: Quote, “I told her if we could just make it to the day after the Grammys, we’re good. We’ll make it work.” The Grammys are February 8th on CBS.
Miranda Lambert Loves Sharing a Dressing Room with the Other Girls on Her Tour
MIRANDA LAMBERT has spent the better part of her career surrounded by dudes. She’s been the only chick in the band, the only female opener on the tour, the only woman on the bus . . . and she’s over it.
That’s why she’s thrilled that her Certified Platinum tour features RAELYNN as an opener, GWEN SEBASTIANdoing backup vocals, and CAROLYN DAWN JOHNSON on fiddle and backup vocals.
And when you add in all the female personal assistants, plus the chicks doing hair and makeup, well, it’s whole new world.
She talked about it backstage at a recent show in Knoxville. Quote, “There are like six of us girls now and we all have a dressing room we SHARE and there are curling irons everywhere and it’s just nice not being the only girl out here for once.”
Some of the girls joined Miranda for the encore in Knoxville, and she told the crowd, quote, “We don’t think there are enough females on country radio, and we miss the DIXIE CHICKS.” And then they launched into “Cowboy Take Me Away”.
We should mention the tour also includes JUSTIN MOORE as the other opener. I bet he’s totally enjoying the peace and quiet of his own dressing room.
Garth Brooks and Lee Brice Performed “More Than a Memory” Together in Boston
LEE BRICE had a career moment on Saturday when GARTH BROOKS invited him to perform “More Than a Memory” at his concert in Boston. And apparently, being able to perform that particular song with Garth was a bucket list item for Lee.
See, the song’s always been special for both of them. Lee co-wrote it when he was a struggling artist, and then in 2007 Garth recorded it for his “Ultimate Hits” album.
