Eric Church Is Not Interested in Doing Stadium Shows
Even though ERIC CHURCH is joining KENNY CHESNEY for some stadium shows this summer, he does NOT see himself doing a steady diet of those in the future.
He says, quote, “I’m not interested in it, honestly. I don’t want to play stadiums. I don’t think that’s what I want to do. Being able to feel the crowd and intimacy is very important to me. I don’t know how to do that in a stadium.”
Cashing in with massive amounts of ticket sales is not important to Eric. He adds, quote, “I’m not interested in just trying to get bigger. It doesn’t have to be numbers. It can be more special by going a different route, and that’s what I’m interested in.”
I know it doesn’t make sense to say he’s “not interested” in stadium concerts, and then book a few with Kenny. But I’m thinking he’s just finding less satisfaction as he performs in front of larger crowds.
Dolly Parton Makes Eye Contact With Every Person She Meets
There’s an interview with DOLLY PARTON in February’s “Woman’s Day” that may explain why everyone who meets her, loves her. At one point she talks about her trick in finding the “good” in everyone she meets.
She says, quote, “When I meet someone, I look at their eyes and their smile and seek out the good first . . . it’s easy to find when you’re looking for it. You let a person shine with their own light and try to connect it to yours.
“As soon as I say hello, I go right to that light and I don’t care who you are. I know we’re all pieces of the same thing . . . I go for that common light because I know it’s in all of us.”
Speaking of Dolly: She signed a deal with NBC for them to create a series of two-hour TV movies based on different aspects of her life. It could be about one of her songs, a story she’s written, or a true event from her life. (Webster P.R.)
