Some fans are not happy with a stage prop on ERIC CHURCH’s current tour. It’s a giant, inflatable devil that blows up and towers over the crowd when performs his song “Devil, Devil (Prelude: Princess Of Darkness)”. (Full Story, with Pic)

Florida Georgia Line and Luke Bryan Each Won Three Awards at Last Night’s American Country Countdown Awards
FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE and LUKE BRYAN each won three awards at last night’s “American Country Countdown Awards”. Other big moments included JASON ALDEAN taking home Artist of the Year, and REBA MCENTIRE being honored with the first-ever Nash Icon Award.
There was a lot of TYLER HUBBARD and BRIAN KELLEY of FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE at last night’s “American Country Countdown Awards”. They hosted the show and took home three awards.
They won Group / Duo of the Year, and their duet with LUKE BRYAN on “This Is How We Roll” won Collaboration of the Year, and Digital Song of the Year. Luke also won the Male Vocalist of the Year award.
CARRIE UNDERWOOD opened the show by ripping through a medley of her hits. Pregnancy has not weakened her voice. And her baby bump stole the show on the red carpet. (Here’s a pic.)
Another great early moment was KIX BROOKS and JERROD NIEMANN doing an unplugged version of the BROOKS & DUNN classic, “Rock My World (Little Country Girl)”.
REBA MCENTIRE was honored with the first-ever Nash Icon award. Miranda Lambert and KELLY CLARKSON did a medley of her hits, and Reba joined them on “Fancy”. It got a standing ovation and Reba’s acceptance speech was moving.
ERIC CHURCH’S “The Outsiders” won Album of the year, and he got serious in his acceptance speech, saying, quote, “albums matter more now than ever.”
VINCE VAUGHN gave KENNY CHESNEY the Groundbreaker Award. Here’s how Vince explained that honor, quote, “Few artists have single-handedly elevated country music to new heights. They are the groundbreakers.”
The important thing to remember is that there were no judges because these awards were based on raw data. So, JASON ALDEAN won Artist of the Year because he earned it. Numbers don’t care if you cheated on your wife. Just sayin’.
The show closed on a high note when HANK WILLIAMS JR. rocked through his classic hit, “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight”. Overall, a good start to a show that should be around for a long time.
