It’s been a strange and dangerous several days for people attending DIERKS BENTLEYconcerts. Last Thursday we had the girl who puked on stage. And on Sunday a woman at his show in Utica, New York was hit by falling debris.
A piece of metal fell from the ceiling and landed on her leg. Emergency crews got to her pretty quickly, but some sources are calling the injury “significant.”
Also, Dierks talked more about the puking incident in a radio interview. He said, quote, “That’s the first time that’s happened. I’ve seen people throw up in the crowd, I’ve seen fights and I’ve seen blood but I’ve never seen puke on the stage.”
Dierks did manage to track down the girl’s name and cell phone number, and he plans to check in to see if she’s okay.
GARTH BROOKS was asked for his take on streaming music services, and he decided to go off on YouTube.
[Garth Youtube Rant]FRANKIE BALLARD plans to celebrate “Sunshine & Whiskey” topping “Billboard’s” Country Airplay chart by buying a vintage Plymouth Road Runner or Dodge Charger: Quote, “Most of them have been redone and are fully restored and have modern suspension and drivetrains so they’re daily drivers.”
KENNY CHESNEY recorded a new holiday song called “Christmas In Blue Chair Bay”. Here’s why: Quote, “There are few times of the year when you can really unplug, really just be in the moment with your family and your friends . . . and I wanted to share that feeling with my friends through music.”
RASCAL FLATTS is doing a nine-show residency at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. It’s called the “Rascal Flatts Vegas Riot”, and they’re describing it as, quote, “up close, intimate and personal.” Yes, a riot that’s intimate and personal. (???) The run starts February 25th, and if all goes well, they may extend it. (Full Story)
WILL HOGE strolls around a small town at night in his “Middle of America” video. It was filmed in one continuous shot with a single camera in downtown Gallatin, Tennessee, in case that matters. (Video)
BLAKE SHELTON was given a really cool badge (slash) medallion after his induction into Oklahoma’s Hall of Fame. He Tweeted a pic and wrote, “Still overwhelmed to be a member of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.”
