Grammy Award nominees were announced this morning. It’s no surprise that LBT and Chris Stapleton take the lead in nominees! Check out the full list from TasteofCountry.com

The Boot released a list of “Top 10 Country Music Albums of 2015,” and “Traveller” by Chris Stapleton is #1.  Here’s the list:

1.  “Traveller”, Chris Stapleton

2.  “Pageant Material”, Kacey Musgraves

3.  “Mr. Misunderstood”, Eric Church

4.  “Tangled Up”, Thomas Rhett

5.  “Cass County”, Don Henley

6.  “Start Here”, Maddie & Tae

7.  “Jekyll + Hyde”, Zac Brown Band

8.  “Django & Jimmie”, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson

9.  “Storyteller”, Carrie Underwood

10.  “Kill The Lights”, Luke Bryan

(TheBoot.com has write-ups for each album.  It’s in slide show format.)

“Billboard” asked for her take on the next election, and she said, quote, “I think Donald Trump is going to be our next president.”  They asked if she’s met him and she said, quote, “Yep.  I like him.  I mean, Donald’s Donald.”

Don’t take that endorsement as a statement about which way she leans politically.  She’s performed at the White House for just about every modern day president, including Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr., and Bush Jr.

And when asked for her opinion on PRESIDENT OBAMA she said, quote, “I like Obama, and I like his wife.  I liked BILL CLINTON too.”

JENNIFER NETTLES plays DOLLY PARTON’s mom on the TV movie “Coat of Many Colors”, which airs Thursday.  And Dolly’s very impressed with Jennifer’s talents.  Quote, “She was amazing.  Everybody’s been floored with her acting skills.  She’s going to get a lot of work from this.  I was absolutely knocked out.  She did as great as any skilled actress I’ve ever seen.  Even the top of the line.”
